Today could not have been more beautiful. I only have one word to describe it – BREATHTAKING! If I lived in Potsdam, the Sansouci Palace and vineyard would be a place I would go to relax everyday. I have always wondered what it would be like to live in a palace and over look a vineyard with fountains and statues placed throughout. When I walked inside Sansouci Palace, I was speechless. How could anyone design something so ornate? The moment I walked into each room, my eyes were glued to the ceiling. I could not look away because I was astonished of how gorgeous it was. Yes, at times it got to be a little much but this was real Rococo art to the max.
One of the reasons I loved this palace so much was because it’s still the same as it was when it was first built. I love to think of how Friedrich the Great walked down the very same halls I got to walk down or how I was able to stand in the entrance of the grand ballroom where many royals stood before entering the ball. These are just a few reasons why I appreciate moments like these.
